Art & Culture: Indie Film

For those of you who are tired of the same trite and unimaginative drivel turned out by the Hollywood machine, here is one of the best online film festivals dedicated to CULTURE - Culture Unplugged Film Festival

Here is one of the short films, Salt n Pepper, a story of a young girl who has been dumped in love. She is so dejected that she decides to kill herself. Suddenly a thief enters into her house. She discovers that thief is actually a farmer who essentially is looking for food because he is so hungry. She orders for a pizza. The farmer refuses pizza because he feels that it is pizza that has pushed him to this dire state. What he tells changes the perspective for girl also, so much so that she decides to live on.

Winter Skin

Winter can be a hard time for skin, even in relatively mild climates like SoCal, but especially in areas hit hard with cold weather. First, you have a significant drop in air humidity, added together with even dryer indoor air from central heating. Then the skin on your face is exposed to the whipping frigid winds. Finally, you have the internal factors like decreased water intake.

Most people drink less water in winter for two reasons:
1. we tend to desire warmer foods and fluids such as coffee or tea that contain caffeine whic is a diuretic and dehydrating
2. cooler temperatures equals less sweating which lessens the bodies 'hydrate me' cues and also minimizes the skins opportunity to spread out it's natural oils

Below are a moisturizing Body oil recipes for every skin type from a great company, Green Valley Aromatherapy. Green Valley is fabulous woman owned and operated company that focuses on organic/sustainable growing and harvesting methods and ethical business practices including use of recycles packaging materials and Fair Trade practices, especially in sourcing their products from small businesses and indigenous women.

Remember, whenever you use Essential Oils or use Aromatherapy - you want actual essential oils and not a fragrance or perfume.

Personal Evolution

What causes you to evolve? Is there some secret potion, some incantation, or some hidden text deeply encoded in a book? Perhaps the answer is on a mountaintop. Maybe it is emanating from another person or is coming from a departed spirit. Some of these things may be great spiritual gifts to assist us on our path, but, there is something else; something that comes up after you come down off the mountain, leave the seminar or master and close the book.

What evolves you is simple. It’s choice, your own choice to be around those who vibrate in truth, and those who reflect your spirit back to you. It’s the choice to live a life that is intentional and purposeful. It’s the courageous choice to do your own inner work. Einstein, Sheldrake, Hawkins and so many others have proven this technical truth of spirituality - like energy draws like energy. Every step you take toward enlightenment now, especially in this age, exponentially empowers you with greater energy to create faster and deeper than ever.

Each choice evolves into the next step, the next, and the next. This seems to make one basic question clearer and more important. What choice in each situation or circumstance will evolve you? The moment you ask it, the circumstance and the situation have become irrelevant. Only the choice matters.

Cool Website: Astrology

A good website I found that gives good info of the planetary placement and influences at your time of birth:

http://alabe.com/freechart/

Here's a sampling from mine:

Rising Sign is in 20 Degrees Capricorn
You are practical and reserved but very ambitious. An achiever and a hard worker, you respect success. Older looking and very serious as a youth, things lighten up and you relax more as you mature. You have a serious view of the world as being a difficult place to be in. Very envious of those who seem to have an easier life than you have, relaxation and play do not come easily. It is important that you had abundant parental support as a child so that you do not feel lonely and isolated as an adult. Generally, you have a good, earthy sense of humor that can carry you through when times really do get tough. You are purposeful, self-willed, industrious, realistic and responsible.

Moon is in 22 Degrees Libra.
Affectionate, warm and friendly, life must be a "beautiful" experience for you. Unpleasantness should be avoided at all costs. You tend to overlook other people's faults and you would rather give in than fight. You are uncomfortable with strangers, but at ease and sociable with friends and associates. Indeed, you would rather socialize than work -- you can use your prodigious charm to avoid unpleasant tasks. You need the support and assistance of another in order to get you started on any new project -- you are not a self-starter. Be careful of a tendency to be overly self-indulgent (i.e., lazy). Your refined aesthetic sensibilities attract you to music, dance, art and any other cultured activity.

Mercury is in 10 Degrees Scorpio.
You are a born investigator. You are fascinated by secrets and mysteries and unanswered questions of any kind. When you become upset or angry, your emotional reactions are overpowering -- reason and logic disappear in an uncontrollable passionate outburst. You tend to keep your thoughts secret and bottled up and this makes others regard you with suspicion. It is not that you are trying purposely to be evasive, it is just that you would rather not deal with the explosions and hassles that often occur when you reveal your true feelings and opinions. Your sense of humor tends toward sarcasm and irony.

Venus is in 16 Degrees Capricorn.
You tend to keep your feelings under control -- emotions are only released in serious or important situations. You are distrustful of others whose behavior could be judged excessive or immoderate. As such, you prefer to relate only to those who are older than you or to those whose position is such that respect and duty are more important for both of you than passion or emotional response. Be careful, however, of relationships that are merely based on practicality or utility or you will ultimately be lonely.

Mars is in 25 Degrees Aries.
You are very independent and self-assertive, and you have lots of physical energy. You are not satisfied unless you can be the first to do something. As such, you are more comfortable in leadership positions than you are as an underling. When you are challenged by anyone for anything, you delight in the competitive process and will fight long and hard for your beliefs. You are bold and courageous and often act without thinking. At times, in your zeal to get ahead, you are tactless and offensive -- learn that cooperation with others can often bring you nearer to your goals quicker because of the support you will get.

Jupiter is in 06 Degrees Aquarius.
Your personal growth occurs when you have the freedom to do things in new and interesting ways -- this brings out your natural inventiveness. You are an individualist, but you are also attracted to mass movements that emphasize social betterment and you will devote much time and energy to their efforts. Very fair- minded and objective, you have extraordinary skills at organization and administration.

For anyone living in or around Los Angeles, Lucent Dossier, a vaudeville cirque, preforms every Wednesday Nite at the Edison in downtown LA. Performers weave in and out of the 'audience' blurring the line between performance and reality.

They have performed at various festivals through out the USA and Europe as well as with artists, such as Panic! At the Disco, 30 Seconds to Mars, Healer, and the Flaming Lips.

From their website:

Tuaca

Tuaca (Italian pronunciation: [tu. a:ca] is a brand of liqueur produced by the Tuoni and Canepa families of Livorno, Italy The liqueur is sweet and golden brown in color. Its ingredients include brandy, essence of Mediterranean Lemon, Orange, and Vanilla. Vanilla is the dominant flavor. It is bottled at 70 proof (35% ABV).

The recipe supposedly dates back to the Renaissance. A legend claims that it was created for Lorenzo the Magnificent.

Tuaca has been sold in the US since the 1950s and can be bought in most liquor stores in the Liqueur section.

This liqueur is always a big hit at my gatherings. Even though my bar is better stocked than most commercial Bars and Restaurants, a few friends and I went through a whole bottle of Tuaca last night. One of things I like most about Tuaca is that is so simple to drink. The citrus and vanille mix well with lots of things, but really just drinking it chilled and over ice is great, or maybe with a bit of natural sweet and sour mix. It makes for a fantastic shot for people who don't normally ever like shots and still works for those who make doing shots look like a profession.

The best I can describe it would be similiar to an amaretto, but with a bit of bite, vaguely sweet but not a syrupy and overly sweet as I can handle (like my Butterscotch Schnapps over ice). My tequila drinking friends put aside the Patron Silver for some more Tuaca. Nuff said.

For a more info and drink recipies, see http://www.tuaca.com/home.aspx

Word of the Day: Instinct

So, lucky me, my Padre sent me his Instinct Phone and went back to his Razor since I use more of the features than he does.

It has all sorts of groovy features like GPS, Visual Voicemail and the ability to watch Live TV. It will also play your music while you send texts or surf the net. FANCY.

So I shall be spending my free time over the next few days figuring out how to use all the bells and whistles on my shiny new fancy pants phone

They even made a bunch of mini-movies about how it beats the iPhone:

Happiness as Home

Out of the many great architectural styles that I admire the one I love the most is Storybook Style. This style originated in Hollywood, CA in the 1920's. It just makes me happy.

Left is a pic of one of the more famous Storybook Homes, commonly referred to as the 'Witches House'. Built in 1921 by Oscar-nominated Hollywood art director Harry Oliver , the structure originally served as offices and dressing rooms for Culver City-based silent film company Willat Studio. It is now a privately owned home located in Beverly Hills

Oliver designed many sets, homes and commercial buildings, some of which still survive today as Los Angeles Landmarks, like Tam O'Shanters Inn, a restaurant located in the Los Feliz neighborhood.

The best Storybook, or Fairytale, buildings feature highly stylized and detailed roofs made of traditionally wooden, or in more modern times, composite shingles made to mimic wood. The design utilizes multi-colors and layers to create whimsical patterns and, in some cases, dips and waves to effect a sunken or otherwise misshapen roof line, such as the one below. Unfortunately, qualified professionals capable of creating such artistry are becoming vary rare and these beauties are at risk of losing some of their charm as replacment costs are becoming increasingly prohibitive.

The house to the right is located in Long Beach, CA.

Located in Olalla, Washington, the Story Book House below was created as a homage to Hansel & Gretel. More pics and info on the home is at: http://unusuallife.com/2007/02/20/storybook-house/

More on Storybook Style Architecture is available at: http://storybookers.com , a site by John Robert Marlow, who literally wrote the book on this subject, 'Storybook Style: America's Whimsical Homes of the Twenties'.

Legends

I had the pleasure of hosting some friends from abroad this summer at my home. I love my ukDSC friends (and the dscLA peeps too). Fucking LEGENDS. Every last one of them.

One of them, is rather talented little cunt. Since he is British, I can say that, and not be offensive. You just have to read it in my very poorly done, mock-Brit accent.

Here's a few of his vids, so that you too may share in the love of all things ukDSC.

The Dream Toddles Along

In honor of the holiday today and the historic events of tomorrow, here are a few of the many uplifting quotes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr:

"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence."

There are many ways in which we can uplift humanity. Certainly, I see my own vocation of bodyworker as as such. Not only that my touch can comfort, soothe and support my clients well-being, but also in the sense that I have the opportunity to come from a place of Loving and service in my interactions with clients and co-workers. To me this applies to any job, regardless of what the nuts-and-bolts of the work. It isn't so much what we do, as where inside of ourselves that we do it from. Essentially, where in our consciousness we are coming from.

Obviously, we all work to get a paycheck so we can pay our bills, but this needn't be why we are there or what we are doing. So a coffee shop Barrista has a choice, they could give you your coffee so that after repeating the chore again and again for innumerable people they will be handed a paycheck at the end of 2 weeks OR they can give you a smile and warmth as they go about the various actions of their workday and share their Spirit with everyone around them and in 2 weeks they still receive a paycheck. In the first instance, the duties of dealing with customers becomes the requirement that must be met to receive their pay, and in the second the 'tasks' of their work become minor details to greater importance of serving the world by coming from a place of kindness and joy.

So whether a person rings you up at the register, fixes your car or manages a database, we can all uplift humanity just by choosing that as our intention. Dr King says that life's most persistent and urgent question is "What are you doing for others?" Sometimes, the most deeply reaching act you can do in service to another being is to give them a genuine smile or simply be compassionate and kind to them when they are in a bad mood and not being as polite as they could be. To choose the challenge of being light and joy, regardless of tasks, situation or circumstance.

At any given moment, we have the opportunity to choose whether we will uplift, what will you choose today?

Good Friday

A great organization that I support, courtesy of my good mate and Transcontinental twin Kat, is 'The Karma Army'. This grassroots cooperative's purpose is to join like-minded individuals in promoting kindness and good karma.

"You, the joinee, are encouraged to undertake Random Acts of Kindness on a day-to-day basis... maybe it’s paying for the cup of tea that the person in the queue in front of you has just ordered... maybe it’s offering to carry an old woman’s shopping (and not legging it)... maybe it’s as simple as holding a door open for someone. Whatever it is you decide to do, it has to be random, unexpected, and... well... kind."

I personally prefer to think of it as REGULAR acts of kindness, done without premeditation or thought of personal reward. In a sense, Choosing Love in every moment.

Ugh

I was hit with a nasty bout of insomnia on Sunday nite and then spent all Monday fighting a migraine. Fortunately, I was able to keep it at bay, but due to not eating hardly anything for a few days and dehydration, stress with work and family stuff plus the no sleep, Monday was unpleasant to say the least. Tuesday made up for it though, I decided to actually take care of myself and got a wellness massage and chiropractor visit at the spa (yay for the only perk I get out of that place).

My personal congrats to the Chiro guy, he was able to get my neck to crack both ways without making me horribly sick like usual and hurting. But poor dear got overconifdent and thought he could actually get my sacrum and hips to move, silly fella.

On a side note, I did get screwed on the massage though. That's screwed ON, not IN, people. I scheduled with someone in particular who Ive heard good stuff about, but it was changed without asking me. The guy who ended up doing the massage has a personal style thats, shall we say, very 70's-esque. Everythime I see him, with his Porn-stache, I hear in my head "bown-chica-wow-wow' and look around for his van. IJS@

So feeling WAY better tonight and looking forward to hanging with Lesley and Doria in the 'va-yey' on Wed.

Spiritual Nourishment

"As one matures in spiritual life, one becomes more comfortable with paradox, more appreciative
of life's ambiguities, its many levels and inherent conflicts.

One develops a sense of life's irony, metaphor, and humor, and a capacity to embrace the whole,
with its beauty and outrageousness, in the graciousness of the heart"

Path with a Heart - Jack Kornfield

I try to remind myself of this when the universe seems to me having a laugh at my expense. And
tell myself that I am "Spiritually Mature" and in on the joke.

На русском языке

Enjoyed a delightful dinner night before last with my dear friends Kristen & JJ, both of whom work in the food industry at well know locations here in LA. Kristen made a delicious, all from scratch, 4-course Russian themed meal:

Cream Cheese and Salmon on Crostini
Borscht with Sour Cream
Hand made Bread (courtesy of her fella)
Beef Stuffed Cabbage
Potato Pierogis with Sauerkraut
aked White Raisin Cheesecake.

And, of course the requisite Vodka, Lithuanian Gold in honor of her heritage. Sweet, but with a mighty heat to it.

Nothing better than good food, good drink, good friends, good cheer.

Inspiring: Freedom To Choose

I graduated from the University of Santa Monica’s Masters in Spiritual Psychology Program in Aug 2005. The education and experience I got was absolutely life altering not only to myself, but also to my closest relationships with family and friends.

USM's full-length documentary, Freedom to Choose, has been chosen to receive the Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking at the 2009 Honolulu International Film Festival.

The Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking chooses the very best of several hundreds of films submitted from over 30 countries around the world. Judges choose films demonstrating superior and standout filmmaking.

This compelling documentary illustrates how the tools and skills taught in the Graduate Program at USM can have a positive impact on anyone regardless of situation, circumstance, or environment. Most important, it shows how anyone (/everyone) can learn and grow as a human being, when given the opportunity and tools.

If people whose lives have been the least advantaged, who have found themselves so unable to cope in the world that they ended up shut away from it can gain such benefit in such a short time of exposure, just think what this work could do if offered to our youth. Imagine what it might do for them to have this learning before they are faced with the struggles of life and the tough decisions about what path they will choose.

I am encouraged to consider what this work could do in helping us move towards greater peace in our world for without INNER peace, there can be no OUTER peace.

Wellness: Gua Sha

Having worked in the wellness field for the last 11 years, with extensive training in a wide range of modalities, I have some familiarity with most of techniques out there. So when I come across something new (to me) that shows actual results and has a positive effect, I get pretty stocked. Thanks, to my colleague Bryan, I have now received the benefits of the ancient Chinese Medicine technique, Gua Sha. He used a ceramic spoon, rather than the more aggressive tool of animal horn shown in the video below.

It is an 'alternative' therapy to say the least, but actually rather pleasant to receive, and the effects of it were almost immediately noticeable. Areas on my arms that have been recently bothering me, turned up with quite a stippling effect while other areas that weren't as much an issue didn't even turn pink.

I initially figured that this would only work on the superficial lymphatic and meridian systems, but found the muscle tissue loosening and the warming effect to not only feel nice, but also have the distinct sensation of my body going hard to work on healing the areas.

All in all, I found this therapy to be surprisingly effective and I would recommend it to anyone who has constriction, areas of chronic muscle tension and energy stagnation.

Underrated: Traitor (film)

I recently watched the Don Cheadle / Guy Pierce film Traitor. I was pleasantly surprised. When I first heard about the film I assumed it was what I consider to be the 'typical boring oscar contender'. Fortunately, it was engaging, gripping and managed to be exciting while dealing with some serious issues in a very honest and realistic way.

Cool Website: Destiny Cards

A site I check out regularly: http://7thunders.com/

It offers free daily readings and free mini-readings for your Birthcard, Current Year and Current 52-day cycle.

Unlike a Horoscope, this system is more specific to the day you were born and it gives insight into the energy influences and learning opportunities.

The books, 'Destiny Cards' and 'Love Cards' offer greater insight into our journey through like and what is at play in our closest relationships. Frighteningly accurate and endlessly illuminating, the books offer the chance to get much more in depth detail and insight by looking at our Planetary Ruling Card and Personality Card (and how those influences interact with those in our life).

Whenever I am feeling frustrated or confused by person or situation, I take a look at this site (and the books) and have always gained instant insight and understanding. Sometimes just knowing what energy influences are at work helps for things to clear up more quickly.

Check it out and see for yourself.

Paraphrased from an article from Time:
http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1869319,00.html?xid=feed-netzero-featured

A study on the difference between Eastern & Western concepts of wisdom showed 4 groups of college students (America, Aussie, Indian & Japanese) all the possible pairings of 'wise' with the following words: aged, awakened, discreet, experienced, intuitive and knowledgeable.

Which of those words do you associate the most with 'wise'?

Western students said 'knowledgeable' or 'experienced' were most similar to 'wise', but the easterners most associated 'wise' with 'discreet.'

Personally, I associate 'awakened' more with with 'wise' than 'experienced' or 'discreet' (although sometimes discretion is the wisest choice to make, right?). I can see 'knowledgeable' since we consider 'wise' mean someone who 'knows' what to do. But, when I think of 'wise' I think of awareness of Self, situation, actions, personal responsibility, choices, etc. Which I then link to 'awakened', since many people are sleepwalking through life still, neither aware nor particularly wise. I certainly don't blame them, it seems to be a whole lot easier not to notice. But, then, by extension, far less rewarding I suppose.

2008 in Review

2007 was tough and full of difficult lessons. I entered 2008 full of hope of a far better year than the one before (my first YIM status message: "2008 = a nice time for everyone"). And better I got, challenges that is. Several years back I decided to nix the rarely accomplished or productive 'New Years Resolutions' for shiny new 'Intentions'. This dramatic shift in languaging brought with it a dramatic shift in results. 2007's "I am deepening in my experience of sharing Loving." [paraphrased], brought many and varied challenges (yay!) in all my closest relationships and redefined within me what it means to love. Albeit, in delightfully difficult and profoundly painful ways.

'08 saw me playing it 'safe' and focusing on "experiencing financial abundance". Low and behold, my Spirit Guides and Soul have not only a rather deep affection for IRONY, but also an exceptionally high opinion of my coping abilities (joy!). Needless to say, the past year has been the hardest financially in 17 years (when I was in college I lived on $200 a month, with about $175 of it going to rent and bills). While certainly had more income than back then, I also had substantially more expenses. A mere month ago, one of my remaining options was to give up my lovely apartment, sell my stuff and move to Frankfort, KY to live with my Brother. And, by extention take up alcoholism as drunk is the only way I could get thru more than a week living in Kentucky. There were other numerous difficulties along the way as well, making it one of the toughest years so far (considering my years of strugging with deep depresions in the past, that's saying something). A 'nice time' indeed. Not.

As the year came to a close and a new one dawned, I spent it in the company of a dear friend and put a side all thoughts of 'Resolutions' or 'Intentions' (I've had enough to deal with right?). But on further reflection, hindsight being as it is, my prespective has changed. Money has never really been much of a priority for me, it's only value the enjoyment it can bring by purchasing gifts for others or fun times with friends, and the occassional pretty thing for me. Growing up, my Mother always stressed and acknowledged when someone "might not be rich in dollars, but they're wealthier than any millionaire".

My bank account may have been underfed, but my heart was not. I 've had chats via text, phone, yim and in person that have sustained and supported me in invaluable ways. I've also had some of the best, most memorable times this year, thanks in no small part to some friends I met through youtube and myspace randomness courtesy of some 'other guy'.

January started off well. First I rang the year in with DSC fun, hosted a Gumbyliscious Guest and I liberated myself from Crazy Corporate Hotel Spa Hell, freeing me to liberate my Dad from Utah and get to spend some quality sick time together with our two little doggies. I got a chance to let go of some of what I had been holding against him and let more love in.

February brought a new Spa, and another helping of glutton for punishment it seems (yay for work karma).

March was Lisa's visit from Australia, lots of DSC fun and another visit from my friend Gumby. Also, a sneak peek at a film and great night out with friends. Nice Times all around.

April saw a surprisingly good return from the tax man. I seriously adore my tax guy, he is magic.

May saw a shift in my living situation, as it was time for dear Stephanie to move on to her own place.

June was a flurry of activity, loads of cleaning, clutter purging and massive productivity courtesy of various personal and universal energetics. Also the start of 2 straight months of consistent insomnia. Having never had ANY trouble sleeping a good 9 or 10 hours a day on average, getting a maximum total of 5 hours accumulative sleep a day really sucked. But again, whoop from productivity.

July brought several new experiences, the first of which was SDCC. WHY? Because I have bright ideas like distracting myself with new, unusual things that I wouldn't normally ever do (g4p, ftw). It didn't entirely suck. Nd now I get to say, been there done that. On a better note, the ukDSC invasion (of my home) and my dearest Twin, Kat (and her bestie Sian), Miss Thorpe (who is now legal in all countries - watch out), Paulie Boy (Toy), the Beautiful Brenda, Captivating Kim and Rufus. I mean Wilko, or Mark or whoever the effe he is. Also joining is at various times were many other DSCers, 30 in all from 4 US States and 3 other Countries. I miss my Brits, my home is far to empty with out you. Thanks fellas for leaving me your undergarments as souviners to remember you by.

August was more Brit visit and subsequent recovery. If Leanne ever overdoes her fun in the sun like that again, I will personally travel to wherever and wring her precious neck. Also, during the summer, I gained a few new friends at work who have grown in promising and appreciated relationships.

September was mostly focused on the roomie search and financial stress. And seeing first hand how life being uncooperative and down right antagonistic can be handled with grace, dignity, perseverence and cheer. Thank you Lesley and Happy Birthday again.

November was full of 35th Birthday Celebrations, including a whole week of fun and companionship with my oldest and dearest friends Rhonda and Michelle. Those two have helped me through SO MUCH in my life. To just enjoy and chill and hang with them like old times was the BEST. Fabulous parties and dinners and loads of cocktails and great food were preety cool too.

December. Dark night of my bank balance. Google search for jobs in Kentucky and 'How to Be an Alcoholic'. Yay, for finding a good new roomie!!! 11th hour. Seriously. I was "-" this close to typing this from a loonie bin in the Bluegrass. Also, loads of fun times with BW friends and some seriously insightful and much needed sharing from the light that is my dear Lesley.

When I look back at my year, I don't remember the hard times, worries or tears. I remember the fun and friends, the loving and laughing. The joy and enjoyment. When I look back at 2008, I can only see with my heart and the Loving shines so brightly that all I can feel is gratitude and blessing. My years was a wealthy of Loving and Grace. My 2008 was rich beyond measure.

The why, what for of it

1When I was 10, like many young girls, I kept a diary. A safe, secret place to express my thoughts and feelings and share my Self with myself. Then my older brother found it and read it and shared it's contents with his neighborhood kids. Never again did I feel comfortable or safe in putting pen to paper for such purpose. I developed a serious and lasting aversion to exposing my most vulnerable to public eyes. Sure, I spent hours as a teen writing notes back and forth with girl friends, and would occasionally pen the random teen angst poem, but never anything that might really reveal my inner most me. Apparently my commitment issues extended to committing myself to my own inner most thoughts and feelings as though the act might somehow shackle me to that state of mind or being forever.

Years later, as I made my way in life, I heard countless times of the power of free writing and journaling for insight and healing. Yet each time was encouraged and pushed, I steadfastly held to my 'I don't journal' mindset. When grad school required me to journal as graded homework, I justified and rationalized my imitation of journaling as progress and personal growth. Insipid and anemic though they were, I was 'trying' right?. Not really. I was still withholding the wholeness of expression of my true being. Steadfast in my fear of speaking my truth, least others reject, ridicule, or worse.

I know from various healing processes this fear has it's roots far beyond this life, experiences from long ago where speaking and living my truth had rather severe and often fatal results.
But that was the past, the far past at that. This is now. Since my most cherished and honored values are Truth and Honesty, I am releasing Me from my self imposed prison of withholding.

I am here forth, stepping into my Truth and living a life of transparency and expression. My capacity for veracity is limitless. I shall be a delightfully diaphanous diva, courageously expressing the depth of being. In print. On the internet. For anyone to see. yippee.

This blog will be a place of sharing my thoughts, ideas, feelings, creations, complaints, likes, issues, views, suggestions, learnings, perspectives, knowledge and, foremost, my Authentic Self, wherever I may be at in that particular moment.

If anyone has a question or situation they don't know how to handle and wants my input, then send it over I will share my perspective. I will not be giving advice, rather I'l be sharing insights, awarenesses and various learnings I have gathered on my journey of healing growth and learning.

Thank you to all who join me in this endeavor. I promise they won't all go on forever.

Cheers, K
